Mission
- To engage beginner members of our club through interactive lectures and workshops that introduce them to the fundamentals of AI.
The Workshop and Meetings Team is tasked with the essential duty of developing and leading the majority of CS+AI’s regularly scheduled workshop/bootcamp meetings.
These meetings should:
- Be uniform in nature with a common CS+AI theme
- Be informational and progress over time in a manner that naturally builds on itself
- Be accessible to beginners, with some python experience
- Produce a group of students that understand the fundamentals of AI and can contribute to CS+AI projects in the following year
Team goals
- Each Semester every meeting facilitator should lead at least two meetings
- Time commitment: medium, 3-4 hours/week
- Summer deliverables: Begin development of the Fall series of meetings that focuses on introducing the fundamentals of AI and gets members started with utilizing AI tools such as common AI API libraries (Open AI, HuggingFace, Teachable Machine, OctoAI, RoboFlow).
- Work towards the development of a course similar to DeepLearning.ai’s Machine Learning Specialization
Recurring tasks
- Each Semester, starting with summer: prepare a series of meetings for the upcoming quarter.
- Weekly/bi-weekly: host lecture/workshop meetings.
- Monthly: host non-technical AI meetings (e.g. ethics talks, etc.).
