Mission statement

Ensure that all operations surrounding member recruitment and member retention run smoothly. Focus on the fun, non-technical aspects of running CS+AI.

This looks like…

• Helping bring in new members! Even the ones who are kinda-sorta-maybe interested
• Leading the team in preparing for the club fair during WOW and other club fairs
• Being on the lookout for opportunities to connect with the CS/SE department at Cal Poly
• Connecting with other clubs on campus to host events in collaboration
• Supporting the social media team
• Ensuring external branch meetings (every other general meeting) run smoothly
  • 2-3 socials / semester
  • 3-4 guest speakers / semester

Recurring tasks

• Summer:
  • work with social media leads to create their social media vision/goals for the year
  • work with events facilitator to schedule recruitment events such as WOW, CSSE welcome day, etc. Every opportunity you have to recruit new members SAY YES!
  • Work with outreach officers to familiarize them with club tools like our mailing list and discord
• Fall:
  • execute recruitment events with campus coordinator
  • Ramp up outreach on emails and socials
• Rolling:
  • Continue initiating recruitment events
  • Meet consistently with your branch
  • Execute external meetings (guest speakers and socials)
